THE HOCKEY NEWS.COM: Ken Campbell reports the Detroit Red Wings will be facing some difficult roster decisions this summer, suggesting if they re-sign Marian Hossa they could lose some productive players in the process, including Jiri Hudler (a restricted free agent) and Mikael Samuelsson (an unrestricted free agent). Campbell also wonders about the futures of Tomas Holmstrom, Kris Draper, Kirk Maltby and Chris Chelios.

INSIDESOCAL.COM: Rich Hammond dismisses rumors claiming LA Kings defenseman Jack Johnson is seeking $5 million per season, reporting the club is negotiating with Johnson's agent, not his father, and plenty of time remains to re-sign him before July 1st, when as a restricted free agent he could be eligible for an offer sheet. Hammond also reports there's "no other shoe to drop" regarding Kings defenseman Tom Preissing selling his home but Hammond admits he'd still be surprised if Preissing is part of the Kings lineup this fall.

HABS INSIDE/OUT: Dave Stubbs reports Montreal Canadiens prospect Alexei Yemelin appears to have once again snubbed the Habs in favor of playing in Russia, possibly for the next two seasons. Stubbs also reports the agent for UFA blueliner Francis Bouillon expects contract talks with GM Bob Gainey to begin during the draft week. Agent Matt Keater, who represents Mike Komisarek and Christopher Higgins, wouldn't comment on their status as it's not July 1st yet.

BOSTON HERALD/NESN.COM: both report Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli has about $6 million in available cap space following the re-signing of center David Krejci and still has to consider re-signing Phil Kessel, Matt Hunwick and Byron Bitz, along with UFAs like PJ Axelsson and Stephane Yelle. If Chiarelli hopes to re-sign most of these players he'll have to consider shopping an expensive player, leading to speculation Marc Savard, Michael Ryder, Patrice Bergeron and Marco Sturm could be available.

CANWEST NEWS SERVICE: Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports the following: Whoever the Florida Panthers hire as general manager it won't make re-signing impending UFA Jay Bouwmeester any easier. There's been almost no dialogue between the two sides in months and his agent said he wouldn't be surprised if his rights were traded prior to the start of the NHL's UFA period on July 1st. Philadelphia, Columbus, Montreal and Vancouver could be possibilities...The Flyers would have to unload Daniel Briere to take on a player like Bouwmeester. The LA Kings were interested in Briere two years ago and could be again given the connection between Kings GM Dean Lombardi and the Flyers organization (he used to work for them as a scout)...The Minnesota Wild have targeted Edmonton, Colorado, Detroit and Philadelphia as possible trade destinations for goalie Josh Harding and would look for a second line forward in return...The Bruins are likely shopping Phil Kessel unless he'll play for the same money as David Krejci ($3.75 million). Matheson suggests they could try shopping him to the Anaheim Ducks for the rights to defenseman Francois Beauchemin...San Jose Sharks captain Patrick Marleau has a no-trade clause but it's possible GM Doug Wilson could ask him to consider three or four teams he'd accept a trade to.

Tem maior salário do time. Biron não passa confiança no time. A notícia sobre Marleau já venho lendo há tempos. Se fala que ele poderia ser negociado para os Rangers por Drury.

OTTAWA SUN: Bruce Garrioch reports the Pittsburgh Penguins might be interested in Martin Havlat should the Chicago Blackhawks fail to re-sign him. The Wild, Canucks, Oilers and his former team the Senators have also shown interest although the latter would have to dump salary to free up cap space....The Wild have opened contract talks with Marian Gaborik but don't be surprised if he signs with the LA Kings if they're unable to land Vincent Lecavalier from Tampa Bay via trade...The Bruins and Phil Kessel appear to be far apart on a new contract. The Bruins want him to accept a deal similar to that David Krejci recently signed ($3.75 million per season) but Kessel is believed seeking $5 million. He could be moved if the two sides cannot reach an agreement...Canadiens defenseman Mike Komisarek has had talks with his team but could test the open market where he could get $4.5-$5 million per season...Garrioch wonders if the Toronto Maple Leafs might make a pitch for Anaheim Ducks defenseman Francois Beauchemin. The Canadiens and Kings could also have interest.

Não gosto nada deste Havlat. E o Lecavalier se muda de Tampa para LA vai continuar sem ganhar nada.
